Legendary DJ Andy Kershaw is coming to Caernarfon to launch a new monthly music night  called GLOBALHEADS at the Market Hall.  He will be spinning his famous collection of red hot irresistible dance music from Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America – from Soukous to Salsa, Roots Reggae to Rai, Soca to South African Township Jive. And all other points in between.

A passionate music enthusiast, Andy Kershaw is a man with an obsessive curiosity about the world. He has won more Sony Radio awards than any other broadcaster. In his early twenties he shared a chaotic office with John Peel and presented The Whistle Test and Live Aid for the BBC .

A fearless adventurer, he has visited 97 countries and, as a rock & roll war correspondent for Radio 4 and the broadsheets ‐ he has reported from some of the world’s most perilous places including Iraq, Sierra Leone, Malawi (where he was banned from the country by dictator Hastings Banda!), Angola, Rwanda (where he narrowly avoided death!), Haiti and North Korea (where he made the world’s first North Korean travel documentary!).
