Arrested Development @ Market Hall, Caernarfon

Get ready to experience an unforgettable evening of live music in Market Hall, Caernarfon as we present, in collaboration with GlobalHeads, legendary two-time Grammy-winning hip-hop group Arrested Development as part of their ‘30 years of People Everyday’ UK & European tour.

Arrested Development are one of the most respected and acclaimed groups in hip-hop. Known throughout the world for their socially conscious lyrics and positive message, their hit singles ‘People Everyday’, ‘Mr Wendall’ & ‘Tennessee’ helped to pave the way for conscious hip-hop in the mainstream music world.

AD became the first ever hip-hop artist to receive the “best new artist” Grammy. The group also received a Grammy for “best rap single” for their anthemic prayer-like hit song, ‘Tennessee’. ‘Mr Wendal’ highlighted the issue of homelessness and living up to their socially conscious pioneering spirit, the group donated half of the royalties from ‘Mr Wendal’ to a national homelessness charity. Arrested Development’s song ‘Revolution’ was written for Spike Lee’s movie, Malcolm X, and will forever be associated with one of the most important movies in black culture.

Arrested Development’s shows are a celebration of hip-hop and life wrapped into one big party!

Supported by a performance from local bilingual drill and rap artist Sage Todz, come and join Arrested Development and Globalheads resident DJs – DJ fflyffilyfbybl and Martin 9Bach – on the dance floor in Market Hall, Caernarfon.
