Film: Creigiau Geirwon by Cwmni Pendraw

Eryri’s rugged rocks are the home of the Snowdon Lily, one of our rarest flower.

Come and meet the early mountain guides who led the botanists, plant collectors, geologists, artists and poets across the mountain slopes and peaks for over 300 years.

This show combines drama, humour, music and vertical dance on ropes!

We meet the visitors, including some famous names, through the eyes of the local people such as William Williams, or ‘Wil Bŵts’ of Llanberis.

The guides themselves will share some of their stories and experiences to entertain, feed and shelter the visitors.

Did they appreciate the importance of the rare mountain plants, and how does the future look for the Lily?

The show was seen in Pontio, Bangor last June and was recorded live by SDG productions. This is Cwmni Pendraw’s third production. The company specialize in combining science and history in creative and surprising ways with actors Iwan Charles, Llyr Evans and Manon Wilkinson, live music by Patrick Rimes and Casi Wyn, and for the first time, dance by Kate Lawrence Vertical Dance .

This is a co-production by Cwmni Pendraw, Vertical Dance Kate Lawrence and Pontio.
