MARIA TÜRME @ MARKET HALL, CAERNARFON

She’s back!! After her spectacular Globalheads gig in early 2023, the amazing Maria Türme returns to get us grooving at the Market Hall.

Maria Türme is one of Spain’s best-known Balkan and World Music DJs. Off the back of her Caernarfon show last year, Maria went on to play Boomtown Fair, The Secret Garden Party, Beat Herder, and Rototom Soundsplash (Benicassim, Spain), amongst others.

Motivated by her love for international beats, Maria’s style ranges from Reggae to Hip-Hop, DnB to Cumbia, to Ska, Ghetto Funk and Electro Swing. Combining these influences creates a high energy roller-coaster ride of good vibes that excites and thrills from the beginning. She has supported Global music acts like Balkan Beat Box, Lazarus Soundsystem, Caravan Disco etc.

North Wales has a special place in Maria’s heart, and she’s excited to return to play funky global beats sets in the heart of Caernarfon.

Also playing will be DJ Pheeva, a longstanding member of the underground North Wales scene. Having attending some of the biggest free parties in our part of the world Pheeva bought some turntables and taught herself to mix. She quickly progressed to playing at many local events and further afield. She also started the Vinyl Vagabonds collective to run her own events and DJ workshops to empower more women to spin. Her DJ career has taken her to clubs all over the UK and Europe. She’s known for her blistering blistering dnb and jungle sets, but will be playing some of her favourite reggae tunes for us this time at Globalheads
