MAWR Y RHAI BYCHAIN 2024: FRIDAY – Catrin Finch & Aoife Ni Bhriain (Cymru / Éire), Nimkii and the Niniis (Anishinaabe)

Ticket for the Friday evening performances as part of Mawr y Rhai Bychain 2024:

Catrin Finch & Aoife Ni Bhriain (Cymru / Éire)

Dublin native Aoife Ní Bhriain is one of Ireland’s foremost traditional fiddle players and a classical violinist of international stature who commands both the classical world and her Irish traditional heritage.

From across the Irish Sea and the west coast of Wales, harpist Catrin Finch has also built an impressive classical career and ventured into uncharted musical territory, most notably through her award-winning international collaborations.

Nimkii and the Niniis (Anishinaabe)

Nimkii and the Niniis was founded in the heat of the pandemic in 2020, as a means to support Indigenous story tellers and to help keep the languages alive through music.

The band, led by Nimkii Osawamick, performs traditional drumming and choral singing, bringing that good feeling to the world.
