WELSH MAGIC DAY 2024

With great pleasure, here are the speakers of the WELSH MAGIC DAY 2024:

KRISTOFFER HUGHES is founder and head of the Anglesey Druid Order and an award winning author who focuses on Celtic and Welsh mythology, and death and bereavement. He leads workshops and courses online and in person throughout the UK, Europe, the USA and Australia, and is also a regular contributor on Welsh and English television and radio – both as himself, and as his outrageous alter-ego: Maggi Noggi.

Kris will be discussing the influence of Iolo Morgannwg on modern occult traditions.

Dr DELYTH BADDER is a Welsh folklorist and author, and an Honorary Research Fellow with Museum Wales, with particular academic expertise in the appearance of spirits within the Welsh tradition. As well as being a regular contributor to discussions on Welsh folklore in the media, Delyth has co-authored ‘The Folklore of Wales: Ghosts’, and will be sharing snippets from this exciting new study of Welsh ghost-lore through the centuries using rare, unpublished and never before translated material. Delyth also works as as the world’s first Welsh-speaking Consultant Paediatric and Perinatal Pathologist and as a Medical Examiner for the NHS. Originally from Pwllheli, Delyth has now settled in one of Dr William Price’s roundhouses in Pontypridd with her husband, the author Dr Elidir Jones, and their two rescue dogs (along with an unconfirmed number of ghosts).

GWYN EDWARDS is an occasional storyteller and  indigenous knowledge keeper who serves to maintain Welsh-Pagan traditions and beliefs.

Gwyn will be escorting us to the land of the Tylwyth Teg.
